Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"We ordered a set meal because it was economical. The restaurant offers a variety of prices and types of food, depending on the number of people dining. The quality of the food is average compared to the price paid. The restaurant's signature dishes are the Guitar Duck and Hong Kong Roast baby Pork, which are baked in oak barrels. The atmosphere of the restaurant is warm and welcoming, but if you're chatting at the same time, the sound can be a bit loud. But on the positive side, it's a fun atmosphere for dining in a Chinese restaurant."
"I’m mean you do have go to check out the guitar chicken. The restaurant is kind of a series of 4 eating rooms. I guess so they can cater for groups. First impressions are that the place could do with a bloody good tidy up. Not so that you destroy its unique atmosphere but there is kind of different piles of junk lying around everywhere. Once you have worked your way past that you’re good. I did the guitar chicken and Peking duck. Both OK. Not the best Peking duck I’ve ever had but not the worst. Chicken was a little dry but 100% crispy. The side orders of vegetables were excellent as were the pork dim sum. Overall worth a visit if you’re in town for a while. Tip if you head down the alley behind the restaurant you can see the place where they prepare the chickens on the frames."
"Came here to try the duck guitar! Quite a small but cosy restaurant, food prices was reasonable. Ordered duck guitar, prawn roll, vege, fish maw soup. Love the food in general!"
"Old style restaurant. Duck and suckling pig are crispy. Nothing to shout about in terms of taste. If you are looking for old style cooking this would be the place to visit."
"The food is good in taste and price, the parking is available quite enough for the tables in the restaurant, there are promotion set that we choose, that the amount of food is more than we can finish, they offer the take home package with out charge, thats a good service.."
"I saw this on Mark Weins show on YouTube, “Duck Guitar” , I got curious and brought my family to eat here! Best crispy Duck , crispy suckling pig, Chinese dishes! There were barely any foreign tourists when we ate but it was packed! This is famous among local Thai/Chinese people."
"I first saw this restaurant from Mark Wiens and I have since marked this as one of my must-visit when I go to Bangkok again. And surely, it did not disappoint, at the very least. We were also quickly accommodated even if we arrived 9:30 (30mins before the scheduled opening). The place wasn’t fancy but it was sure clean and did not smell anything odorous. Everything we ordered was good, plus the drinks came in pitchers which were a lot! The duck was crispy and the fried rice was perfectly cooked in an equally perfeclty seasoned wok! Haha!"
"Simple restaurant with amazing food! Loved the soft shell crab. 10/10!!! We did the 2 way suckling pig which was great too. The 2nd way way still juicy and delicious! Not dry at all"
